The Brief
John Walker & Sons’ King George V edition is a handcrafted, luxury blended Scotch whisky designed to commemorate the grant of the first Royal Warrant to the company by King George V in 1934 – an honour that it holds to this day. To support the launch of its refreshed bottle design, we were asked to create a one-minute bottle reveal film to feature in-store for global duty free.

Our Creative Insight
We wanted to create a modern, abstract feel to the film, presenting the bottle as a contemporary, luxurious product.

Our Approach
We worked with a high-speed camera to capture the beauty and fluidity of the liquid pouring down the neck and into the base of the bottle. We mixed live action with a 3D generated flag, emblazoned with the JWS monogrammed logo to pay homage to the regal heritage of the whisky brand.

Shooting liquid pouring into the bottle required a specialist camera and lighting set-up – and a lot of patience.
